Trade qualifications are desirable for this role, but not essential. You will be working to carry out a range of maintenance works within our accommodation buildings. This is a part-time role based across our Student accommodation building in Liverpool and Chester.

We are open to how many days/ part time hours you would like to work per week.


Duties and Key Responsibilities

Building Management
Carry out
minor repairs within the communal and studio areas of the building.
This may involve minor plumbing, carpentry as well as minor electrical works.

Painting and decorating works within communal and studio areas.

Assist and coordinate with
resident move-ins maintenance and
move-out maintenance as necessary

Liaise with Accommodation Manager on daily tasks to ensure completion

Ensure all the relevant
Health and Safety regime and regulations are complied with at all times.


Work closely with the Accommodation Manager and Estates Manager to ensure
value for money is achieved with the procurement of all works and materials in line with the site budget.


Produce a high standard of reports as required by the Estates Manager, ensuring all the required information is delivered in a timely manner, is accurate and in the required format.

Ensure compliance via the
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme, ensuring accurate records are kept online as required.


Responsible to
ensure the buildings are always a safe environment , assisting with and complying with risk assessments and safe working practices.

Appreciate and understand the flexibility required when business levels peak and trough and deliver the best possible service.

Due to the nature of the role, it may on occasions be necessary to work unsociable hours, including weekends, especially during the student arrivals and departure periods.

Any other reasonable tasks deemed necessary.


Customer Service
Provide
Excellent Customer Service to the building residents and any other guests

Help to maintain a clean and well-presented building.

Responsible to ensure site is a secure and a safe environment for the residents and staff


Person Specification - Desirable but not Essential Qualifications:

Skills & Abilities
Drivers licence and own transport

Computer proficient

Flexible approach to work

Broad range of maintenance knowledge and skills

Strong communication and organisational skills

Ability to work alone and as part of a team


Experience
Previous experience of Maintenance work in housing/Care Sector/hospitality etc


Desirable
Trade Qualifications and Training such as electrical safety training etc.

A commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Legionella Awareness


IOSH

Personal Attributes & other Requirements
Reliable, independent, ability to work under own supervision


Job Types:

£24,000.00 per year
