Description
This is a full time Consultant post (10 PA) in Paediatrics based at Russells Hall Hospital.


This is anon-resident postwith current on-call commitments for acute paediatrics and neonates on a 1 in 9 basis, 5% supplement.

With the recruitment of additional Consultants will look to decrease the frequency. To support the on-call Consultant there are 2 Registrar's and 2 SHO's/ ANNP's resident on-site overnight.

A minimum of 3 clinics per week (roughly 25% general and 75% specialty - actual numbers may change).

Clinics will be be proportionately reduced to account for any theatre PAs.#


To work collaboratively with Acute and Community Consultant Paediatrician colleagues in developing out-reach paediatric services, facilitating collaborative working and promoting the philosophy of an integrated child health service.

Provide clinical leadership.

Has a responsibility for teaching / training and educational supervision.

Sets standards of clinical care.
