Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias - Winsford, Cheshire

£38,000 - £42,000 per annum - depending on experience + annual bonuses + 33 days holiday + Death in Service + Pension + Cycle to work Scheme

Monday to Friday - Days am - 5.00pm M-F)

The opportunity:

An exciting opportunity to join a global manufacturer of plastic packaging at their site in Winsford and become part of their expanding Engineering team.

Job description:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will be to complete preventative and responsive maintenance across all site machinery including extrusion and blow moulding.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Your routine duties may vary, but will be expected to:

Undertake a range of electrical and mechanical planned maintenance and repair activities to maximise the reliability of site machinery and equipment.
Maintain all plant and equipment to comply with all current legislation, HS&E, group procedures and business requirements.
Ensure compliance to preventative maintenance routines for all site equipment
Communicate equipment issues or parts order replacement to the Engineering Manager
Inspect completed installations and maintenance repair work to ensure conformance with required operational standards

Skills and experience:

Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
BTEC/NVQ Level 3 & Performing Engineering Operations qualification. HNC qualification in Engineering desirable.
Minimum 3+ years experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment
Good communication skills
Resilience ability to work towards demanding deadlines
