Description
We have an opportunity for a part time Senior Business Support Officer within Children's Services. This exciting post will be working within our new 'One Children's Service' which encompasses
both Education and Social Care.

As such, there will be a huge variety in terms of duties to be undertaken and knowledge gained from within a forward-thinking and highly supportive team.

You will have supervision responsibilities to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

accommodate home / office working, alongside a generous annual leave entitlement, and the Council's flexi scheme. The preferred working pattern will be Monday to Thursday 9.45am - 2pm but


Interviews are expected to be conducted during the week commencing 17th July 2023

Skills

Essential:

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise own workload.
  • Ability to analyse key data (including financial data) and extract relevant evidence to make sound judgements and produce reports.
  • Effective communication skills having the ability to convey information clearly and politely.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Knowledge

Essential:

  • Experience of working with a range of IT software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • O Level/GCSE standard (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience of working within a team.
  • Experience of working in a busy office using a range of administration procedures.
  • Experience of dealing with a range of enquiries both on the telephone and face to face.
  • Experience of finding solutions to resources that ensures continuity of service provision.
