We have a new vacancy for an Administrative Assistant at the Birmingham Children's Hospital based in the Eye Department.

The post holder will provide an efficient and effective service to the department, working closely with the Medical Secretarial, Medical and Directorate Management team.


This is an ideal opportunity for an interested individual who wishes to gain experience and skills within an office environment.


Applicants should possess a good level of secondary education, be self-motivated, have good interpersonal and communication skills, work on their own initiative whilst enjoy working within a multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder provides general administrative support to the Medical Secretarial team. Duties include the collection and delivery of notes, incoming and outgoing post and general office administrative duties.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team and have a flexible attitude to work and provide cross cover during periods of staff absence.
