Are you looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and reflective teacher to make an impact in KS2.


We are currently recruiting for a teacher with KS2 experience to work on a part-time basis in a lovely maintained local authority school in Stockport.

This February start position is based on 3 days a week in a Year 5 class with a competitive salary of upto £200 per day to reflect your skills, and experience.

The team of staff work cohesively to support best outcomes for children and are extremely proud of the ethos and heritage of the school.


About the School
With a two-form entry set up, the school is well staffed across the KS2 department.

Classes have assigned teaching assistants and the school also benefits from a Special Needs Resource base which provides appropriate accommodations for those with additionalneeds to ensure the curriculum is accessible for all.

With around 400 pupils on roll, this 'Good' rated school are passionate about improving the whole school curriculum and have had recent renovations to bring excellence and enjoyment to the educational community.


About the Role

Key responsibilities include:


  • Planning lessons in line with Year 5 curriculum objects and be able to scaffold and stretch learning to allow all children to achieve their potential
  • Create engaging and meaningful lessons that relate to real life scenarios and prepare children for 21st Century Britain.
  • Using a variety of assessment tools to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching
  • Being organised and prioritising and managing time effectively
  • Using a balance of independent and collaborative approaches to support a high quality learning environment.
  • Maintaining the ethos of the school and adhering to all school policies.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Two professional references that demonstrate your competency in the Primary Classroom
  • Have a legal right to work in the UK.
