Responsibilities
As a Streetlighting Operative, you'll be working within the Highways Team, supporting them to deliver the streetlighting service, routine, and reactive works.
Your day to day will include:
- Ensure that Suffolk Highways maintain the street lighting infrastructure and contribute to providing a safe highway network condition for public use
- Working to BS7671 18th Edition, identifying and recording change control on site and reporting to the Manager
- There will be a requirement to partake in the out of hours emergency standby rota
Who are we looking for?
This role of a Highways Maintenance Operative is great for you if you have:
- Have an NVQ level 2 in Highway Electrical Systems
- Hold a current driving licence to drive up to 7.5 tonne vehicles
- Are trained in IPAF (MEWP) / SWQR (New Roads and Street Works) / G39 & Safe Isolation
