HR/ OD Partner


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an OD Partner to work with a 'green' focused public sector organisation based in Bristol.

The role will be working on a number of different adding value initiatives such as:
talent management, continuous performancemanagement and leadership development.

Working closely with the diversity, inclusion and wellbeing team, the overall purpose is to create a modern working environment of talented, highly performing and engaged staff.

There will be the opportunity to initiatenew ways of working, new processes and different approaches.


In addition to OD aspects of the role, you will also be responsible for coordinating all the HR policies from different areas, reward, learning, ER, diversity, equality, recruitment etc.

There also may be the odd occasion where you'll need to support complexER case work at a senior level within the Exec and/or OD teams.


With this in mind, this role would suit an HR generalist or HR Advisor who has some experience of OD, and more importantly a passion to work on proactive, adding value OD projects in talent management, performance and development.


Person specification

  • A track record in delivering high quality organisation development and HR improvement initiatives.
  • A background as an HR generalist who can evidence adding value and uses initiative to make a difference, but wanting to move more into the OD, talent development, performance improvement, cultural change space.
  • Evidence of first class written communication skills, ably writing persuasive and succinct reports and papers for senior leaders.
  • Superb influencing skills with the ability to gain buy in to new ways of working at all levels.
  • Able to prioritise, multitask and effectively juggle conflicting priorities.
  • Evidence of leading on talent or change initiatives which support a positive change in behaviour and or performance improvement.
  • Full membership of CIPD.
  • Confidence, resilience and drive in dealing with change initiatives and persuading others to positively engage.
