**Safeguarding Office Immediately Required

Duration:

Hours:

  • 37 Full Time Term Time

Pay Rate:
- £23,625 pa to £25,956 pa (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)

An opening has arisen for a Safeguarding Office to be based in Warwickshire.

Said individual will be the DSL officer within the Academy and to advice on all aspects of safeguarding for the pastoral team.


  • Ensuring that there are effective protocols and systems in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
  • Working with external agencies to remove barriers to learning, and promote the success and outcomes of all students
  • Implementing and keeping Children Safe in Education/DFE child protection policy and procedures
  • Receive safeguarding referrals and coordinate a procedure which addresses and prioritises the needs of those affected by liaising with statutory agencies
  • Promoting positive attitudes by students and families towards education and to ensure parents are aware of statutory responsibilities
  • Encouraging good practice by promoting and championing the child protection policy and procedures.
  • Responding appropriately to disclosures or concerns which relate to the wellbeing of a child.
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential and uptodate documentation on all cases of safeguarding and child protection and report where required
  • Working directly with children in need and their families in the community in order to promote, strengthen and develop the potential of parents/carers and their children in order to prevent children becoming looked after and/or suffering significant harm
  • Where required, liaise with agencies and ensure they have access to all necessary information.
  • To initiate and refer pupils to outside agencies and coordinate referrals
  • Liaising with school staff in initiating multiagency referrals for pupils
  • Maintain confidentiality at all time
