**Compliance and Risk Analyst
Based in Orpington
Full-time, Permanent position


Salary:
£40,000**Here at Howells we are working with a leading savings and investment specialist to recruit a skilled and experienced Compliance Risk Analyst to join their team in Orpington.


It will be your job to provide support to the Risk & Compliance Manager in all processes and procedures required in the delivery of risk management and compliance, as well as providing field work and analysis for the preparation of assurance activity.


Duties:


  • Support the compliant delivery of Society objectives
  • Support the delivery of product development and reviews
  • Ensure all regulatory reporting is on time and to a high standard
  • Help maintain expenses within budget
  • Help our team to become better at what they do and more engaged in their roles
  • Comply with all relevant laws & regulations and act with the highest integrity

Essential and Desirable Criteria:


  • Working knowledge, experience and understanding of the UK regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of the Mutual sector and the Friendly Society's Act (preferred)
  • Evidencable delivery & leading assurance planning, scoping & report writing
  • Knowledge of financial crime process & procedures
  • Process design & documentation
  • Stakeholder management able to engage proactively with all levels of the Society both in verbal and written form
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of the principles of sound financial management
  • Understanding of compliance & risk management frameworks
  • Ideally will hold, or is working towards, and risk or insurancebased qualification
  • Can evidence continuing professional development with risk, compliance & insurance arena
  • Use of Power BI
  • Strong IT skills which must include advanced level Excel
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience (preferred)
