Firmware Engineer - £40,000-£50,000 + Benefits - Farnborough, Hampshire/Hybrid Working
Do you have experience of programming using C / C++ and Visual Studio? Do you have demonstratable experience producing system designs, embedded software development and verification? If so, we are looking for you.

**Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of a Firmware Engineer include, but are not limited to:- Full lifecycle embedded software/firmware development from requirements analysis through to development, integration, and testing.
- Collaborating with electronic/hardware engineers and project managers to define system level interfaces.
- IP network configuration and security.
- Debugging of system level issues and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to isolate and resolve the cause.
- Generating reports, test specifications, verification procedures, and master data within the ERP system (Item data setup).
- Technical writing of help files, installation documents and operator manuals.
- Creating acceptance test documentation and performing associated tests.
- Participation in Design reviews with internal and external customers.
- Providing peer checks within the design release process.
The key skills and qualities of a Firmware Engineer are:
- 3-5 years + experience.
- Ideally qualified to a minimum degree level in relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- Comfortable with both technical leadership/ownership and be willing to mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Experience of programming using C / C++ and Visual Studio.
- Excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills.
- This is a permanent, fulltime contract
- Full time hours early Friday finish and potential for Hybrid working
- Salary to be reviewed annually based on performance
