One of the largest public sector organisations based in London are looking to recruit an iTrent Payroll Specialist to join their growing team.

The role is for an initial 3-month contract with a view to extend if all goes well. The role is full time, Mondayto Friday, 36 hours per week with hybrid work available.


Pay rate:
£22.38 per hour PAYE or £28.53 per hour Umbrella

Client is looking for:


  • Significant experience in running payroll on iTrent
  • Has an operational knowledge of the iTrent HR and Payroll solution including reporting functionality.
  • Have a solid knowledge of operational processes within a local government environment
  • Able to assist the team with iTrent training
  • Able to work accurately and efficiently with an attention to detail that will ensure accuracy when processing changes.
  • Experience of iTrent implementation is a bonus.
  • To have worked within a team and supported the team to achieve its objectives
  • Experience of managing a varied workload, prioritising accordingly whilst focussing on key objectives.
  • Experience of processing inhouse payroll from start to finish.

Principal Accountabilities:


  • The position will be responsible for building, testing, implementing, and delivering the daytoday iTrent HR function to the HR team as well for the wider business and senior stakeholders.
  • You will act as the point of escalation for systems issues, dealing with complex queries and situations.
  • You will be required to produce and provide monthly HR KPI data as well as adhoc reports using iTrent and Business Objects.
  • You will oversee the delivery of systems support to the wider HR, payroll and business users with various needs, providing guidance to end users as well as training or support when required.
  • You will lead on routine system maintenance and housekeeping, data integrity checks and corrections where needed.
  • You will have already been exposed to system administration functions of iTrent and will be able to demonstrate this at interview.
