JOB - Automated Gate Engineer

LOCATION - Taffs Well

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £30,000 - £36,000 per annum

My client, a Taffs Well based manufacturing company are looking for an Automated Gate Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.


The Automated Gate Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical Engineering (BEng, BSc, HND, NVQ etc).
  • Good skills in fault finding & handling customers.
  • Electrical technical knowledge.

The Automated Gate Engineer's duties will include:

  • Electrical installation on sliding gates, swing gates, barriers and bollards.
  • Gate control systems fault finding.
  • Planned maintenance on automated gates.
  • Risk assessments on gates.
  • Testing & recording gate safety equipment.
  • Installing electric perimeter fencing and associated access control
