_The role_


The Energy & Carbon Site Assessor will work as part of the Net Zero Consulting team and will have responsibility for attending site visits and writing the accompanying reports.


Whilst site assessments are the core task of the role, you will also be involved in renewable energy feasibility studies, carrying out calculations to determine project viability, liaising with internal project implementation teams and external partners to deliver projects.

There are three main aspects to the role which are:

  • ESOS Energy & Carbon Assessments
  • Net Zero Assessments
  • Renewable Energy Feasibility

_What you need _
We are looking for an independent self-starter with commercial site auditing and energy assessing experience, this is essential.

If you are looking to get into the Net Zero, Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency implementation sectors, we'd love to hear from you.


Desirable experience and knowledge include:

  • Degree in relevant area or equivalent professional experience
  • Compliance with ESOS
  • ISO auditing
  • Working with energy data
  • Sustainability strategy and technical energy management policies and practices
  • Writing renewable energy feasibility studies & business cases for renewable energy projects
  • Knowledge of climate change mitigation and Net Zero strategies and the global and national policy drivers
  • Knowledge of commercial heating/cooling, building fabric, lighting, catering
  • Understanding of Carbon and Environmental reporting requirements
  • Transport auditing

Key personal qualities include:

  • Ability and a desire to develop team members knowledge and skill base
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective facetoface communicator with a professional approach
