This is a full-time domestic cleaning role, based at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL6 1JG.
This is a
Band 2 position paying
£10.37 per hour.
Hours:
hrs per week Monday-Friday running between 7am - 4pm (on rota basis)
The cleaners will be providing the following support to the Domestic team
- To assist in general cleaning of the hospital wards and other clinical areas.
- To ensure infection control policies are adhered to which ensures we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Responsible for the safe use of cleaning equipment
The skills required are
- Experience in a domestic / similar role
- Excellent customer service
- NHS experience desirable but not essential
- Reliable and hard working

Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is one of the smallest district general hospitals in the country and forms an essential part of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, serving a rural population of 135,000 people.
The Friarage offers a range of cancer surgery including skin cancer, urological cancer, breast cancer and gynaecological cancer and is the trust's main site for planned orthopaedic surgery.

- Dialysis unit
- Eye unit
- Rapid diagnostic centre
- The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre
Construction of a new £5million diagnostic hub is now underway and work has also started on our new education centre.
Many of these developments have been made possible thanks to the amazing support we receive from The Friends of the Friarage and Our Hospitals Charity.
Future plans include replacing our aging theatre block with new modern operating theatres.Plans are currently being developed and will go through regional and national business case development, assurance and approval processes before they can be given the go-ahead.
