The shift pattern for this position is Day shift/night shift rotation.
The role of the post holder is to provide clinical leadership to nursing staff and to provide management support to the Inpatient Operational Nurse Manager by providing visible leadership and delegated responsibility for all inpatient areas.
As an integral member of the management team the post holder will support the inpatient operational nurse manager to provide clinical nurse leadership, safe and effective management of the nursing resource to ensure robust and safe staffing which minimises clinical and non clinical risk, standards compliance; staff governance; legislative frameworks; national and board policy/guidelines implementation, monitoring nursing clinical activity and workforce issues and ensuring resource efficiency are critical aspects of the role.
