Operations Reporting & Analysis Specialist
London / Hybrid
Arriva Rail London are looking for a Operations Reporting & Analysis Specialist to join our team.
Based from our London office in Southwark, but providing the opportunity for flexible working, the purpose of this role is to support the Operations Director and Operations Leadership Team to create a data-driven, insight led culture of continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about improve business efficiency by ensuring that all key business processes are supported by clear performance metrics.
You will be responsible for leading on reporting, analysis and review of key departmental metrics on a periodic basis and support the identification, development and delivery of associated improvement plans.
Govern the Driver Resource Plan and undertake all internal and external reporting on driver resource position and support the identification, development and delivery of driver efficiency improvements, lead and on operational incident trend analysis, making recommendations to inform the safety improvement process.
This will be a fulfilling role where your data led insights will will have a direct impact on the quality of the services we deliver.

Work with the Head Rosters and the Operations Managers to ensure that the data with regards to trainees, recruitment, establishments, turnover and laterals is processed in a robust an efficient manner
Ensure a clear resource plan is maintained for each depot through excellent management of the data inputs required
Ensure that the deployment of drivers within the resource plan meets the needs of the business in terms of an efficient and economical operation
Lead on the reporting, analysis and review of key departmental metrics on a periodic basis by owning Directorate level reporting routines, including: Driver Resource Plan KPIs, Balanced Scorecards, board reporting
Support the establishment of departmental level Key Performance Indicators and ensure that these are reported and reviewed at appropriate forums on a periodic basis
Support the identification, development and delivery of improvement plans to
Support the identification, development and delivery of driver efficiency improvements, including supporting review meetings such as the Driver Productivity Review with data and analysis reports
Undertake reporting and analysis projects as required by the Operations Director or other members of the Operations Leadership Team
Assist with Arriva Trains UK initiatives as needed
Lead on operational incident trend analysis, making recommendations to inform the safety improvement plans by providing analytical insight into underlying trends
Experience of undertaking an analysis or reporting based role
Experience of data and trend analysis
Experience of establishing KPIs to benchmark performance and drive continuous improvement
Experience of using data and metrics to influence business owners and departmental managers to take action to improve trends and results
Knowledge of root cause analysis and business improvement methodologies
Knowledge of rail or related transport sector is desirable but not essential
Highly organised and self-motivated with ability to work under own direction
Excellent IT literacy - including advanced Excel and Power BI
Good data literacy
Effective and persuasive written and verbal communication style
Ability to organize own workload and meet deadlines
