We are looking for an
Operational Finance Partner to support the delivery of ED2 objectives across the NGED business, ensuring performance levels are achieved to meet ED2 outputs.

You'll be supporting operational managers in the East Midlands operating unit of NGED; an area that covers a service territory from Milton Keynes to Lincoln as well as review monthly financial performance against budget and leverage the use of dashboard analytic measures.

This is a great role for someone to get a great insight in to the NGED business and who is interested in making the move in to their
first Finance Business Partnering role


The role requires 3 days a week in a nominated "home" office in the East Midlands service area as well as travel to our customer sites.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Business Partnering with the East Midlands Operations team, who serve over 2 million customers
  • Production, interpretation, and analysis of monthly management information, including, Operating cost results, Capital expenditure results and Unit Cost and Project Management Dashboards
  • Identification and calculation of accounting entries, including accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information. Ensure that these accounting entries are consistent with GAAP and RRP guidance
  • Facilitating the preparation of the annual budget submissions for the East Midlands area
  • Attending at meetings, as required, with operational managers
  • Actively contributing and impacting the shape of commercial and nonfinancial performance related decisions
  • Driving the management of performance, financial risks, and the implementation & maintenance of controls
  • Working with the area Financial Assistants regarding the financial management of recharge projects

About You:
