Mobile Supervisor for North Essex Clinics with use of company vehicle during working hours (£11.14 per hour)

To participate in the provision of the in-house FM services within the Trust's North Essex Community Clinics. The FM services comprises of the cleaning services, however some other services are unit specific. Appointed person will have access to a work vehicle for travel between sites (cannot be used for personal use).

Main duties of the job

An understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices

Basic understanding of infection control

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (where necessary). Currently not required within designated area but maybe applicable on other locations.

Understanding of the responsibilities relating to Health and Safety at Work and COSHH (where necessary)

Basic knowledge of NHS Organization

Knowledge of manual handling


ROLE SUMMARY


You will be responsible for the day to day co-supervision of the FM services and will be the customers' point of contact for any FM related issues.

You will deputise in the absence of the FM Supervisor.

The FM services comprise of the cleaning, catering, portering, and goods receiving services, linen and laundry management.

You will be responsible for supporting the management of all the FM Assistants


Ensure that all areas are maintained to a clean and hygienic level for patients, trust staff and visitors in line with the current National Standards of Cleanliness.

Ensuring the goods delivered to site are received, checked and distributed appropriately.

Arrange rosters to ensure that there is sufficient cover available and resources are used efficiently.

Ensure compliance with legislation relating to both Food Safety and Health and Safety.

Provide FM support and advice as required.

To deal efficiently any complaints/issues, report remedial action to FM Supervisor and Facilities Officer.


As part of the Facilities Team you are expected to have a flexible approach, excellent interpersonal and customer skills, ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise your duties.

Skills/experience

To be able to read, write and converse in English

Able to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Flexible working approach

Similar previous experience

Basic use of computer packages - word, excel and outlook

Confident to work in areas with mental health clients

Able to use small and large pieces of catering equipment such as regen trollies, dishwashers

Able to undertake general portering duties

Performance focused - to operate within agreed performance standards

A good understanding of customer service, i.e. caring, kind, able to be flexible, a good sense of humor, able to hold a conversation with others

Possess excellent personal hygiene standards

Ability to work in an environment which may get hot on occasions
