Exam Invigilators x20 - £12.83ph plus hol pay - South East London

Start 2nd May 2023 for one month initially


We are currently recruiting for
20 Exam Invigilators to join a leading UK University in South East London for a one month initial period.


  • Due to the nature of invigilation work, some days will be half days, others full days *_

DUTIES

  • Provide support; collecting and returning exam boxes, assisting in setting up exam rooms, liaising with the assessments team to relay any issues, escorting students to the toilets during the examinations and logging times taken.
  • Invigilate exams by making all announcements, overseeing the exam room setup, managing unforeseen issues, completing the register and checking student identification, completing incident reports, ensuring regulations are adhered to and the integrity of the examination is maintained.
  • To assist with the organisation, including the setup and clear down, of enrolment events.
  • Enrolling students.
  • Filing, archiving and auditing physical and digital files and sorting large amounts of data.
  • Maintaining student records using the student record system.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven ability to use initiative and work independently.
  • Proven ability to deal with a variety of customers (staff, students and external parties) in a polite and professional manner.
  • Experience of working within HE or knowledge of the HE sector.
  • Experience of assisting or invigilating examinations.
  • IT Literacy, including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work on own with minimum supervision, and plan and organise own workload.
  • Ability to prioritise different tasks over different timescales.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and oral skills.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with students who may be in distress.
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 1 month


Salary:
£12.82 per hour
