We are recruiting for an EBME Technical Administrator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.


The post holder will be responsible for working in clinical or technical (workshop) areas to carry out administration tasks in relation to medical equipment handling, returning for repair back to manufacturers and manage equipment library loan/returns.

The post holder will maintain minimum stock level of parts and order technical parts as necessary.

Under the guidance of the senior clinical engineer raise the work orders of reported breakdowns/servicing of equipment and escalate the urgency of repairs to service supervisor where necessary.

Communicate with clinical users to gain a clear understanding of the nature of problems with reported breakdown of equipment.

Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to organise return of equipment

Package equipment for collections.

Update service history of medical equipment on the database for the PPM team.


Operate the Departments database system to ensure service histories of medical equipment are filed and other relevant documentation are completed accurately and entered into the database system in a timely manner, providing records, which help to satisfy the quality system and the Trust's Health and Safety obligations.

Maintain stock levels of spare parts and provide orders to service supervisor where parts need to be ordered.

Maintain stock level of parts by stock take and report shortfalls to service supervisor

Attend in house training to understand and implement standard operating procedures in your role.

Chase and update system of medical loan equipment out in clinical areas and community.

Manage own workload and ensure Department procedures and policies are followed.

Inform and liaise with the service supervisor/Department manager of address any shortfall in the service.
