The Deputy Chief Operating Officer is looking for a creative, dynamic individual who must have previous NHS experience of working either as a Personal Assistant or in an operational service delivery area and is able to bring their positive attitude, knowledge, skills and experience to support the Deputy COO and their Senior Leadership team deliver their objectives.


The post holder will be highly organised, practical, reliable and efficient will have a flexible approach to their role, working on their own initiative as well as working effectively as part of the wider SLT.


We would also like to support the development of the appointee to reach their maximum potential, so there will be opportunities to provide project support to some key patient access projects help develop their competencies even further.


To thrive under pressure, have the drive and courage to solve problems and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

The post holder will be diplomatic with highly developed communication skills. This will be a fantastic opportunity to develop and prepare for their next senior role.

  • Provide an effective, comprehensive personal assistant service to the Dep COO and the Associate Director of Patient Access & Administration.
  • Deal on a regular basis with confidential and sensitive information relating to staff and services.
  • Provide a comprehensive, high quality business support service for the SLT, including typing/word processing of letters, minutes, reports and other routine correspondence, using own initiative.
  • Maintain the corporate diary for the SLT, including deadlines for submission of papers and reports.
  • Provide project support to key patient access projects.
