Working Team Leader

Sector:
Modular Construction - Manufacturing Facility

Location:
Shropshire Area

Salary:
£35k (DOE)

Hours: 40 Hours p/w. Monday - Friday

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • 100% commitment to Lean Manufacturing methodology and Continuous Improvement strategy and tasks
  • Ensure scheduled production is completed and production expectations are communicated to team members
  • Report all quality/design problems to supervisors/managers
  • People Development a requirement to deputise in the event of the Production Supervisor's absence
  • Report material defects and shortages
  • Required to attend the daily manufacturing briefings with Supervisors
  • Identify, and communicate, any improvement opportunities
  • Assist in providing clear direction for the team and motivate them to constantly drive efficiencies
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation in addition to Elements Europe Risk Assessment and Procedures
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are kept at the level required
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Elements Europe quality systems and checks
  • Responsibility for leading & developing staff, carrying out regular appraisals, coaching, mentoring and developing the production team, and identifying training needs to develop and for potential progression
  • Reporting daily station performance against targets to Production Supervisor
  • Reporting daily production status at daily meetings and daily problem management

Experience and Knowledge required:


  • Ability to adhere to Health and Safety standards within manufacturing
  • Leadership and potential for line management
  • Strong team player
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to take direction and to ask questions if unsure
  • Punctual and reliable
