The job itself:


We are looking for motivated, disciplined and flexible individual to fill a vacancy that has arisen within the in-house Boothferry Bridge team who deliver the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the bridge.


This includes opening and closing the bridge to allow the safe passage of river vessels as and when required, whilst ensuring the safety of road and pedestrian traffic using the structure.


Participation in shift work is an essential requirement for this position to ensure the bridge can be operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to allow the orderly and safe passage of vessels.


The working days are Monday to Sunday on a 3-week rotating shift pattern.
