You don't need to have studied Accountancy at university to become an Accountant at Aviva - we truly believe new insights and perspectives are invaluable.
Your role, more specifically:
You'll train with us for three years, soaking up information from our specialists - but of course, we hope you stay with us for years to come as so many of our colleagues do You will do three, one-year placements across different finance teams, includingFinancial Reporting & Controls, Business Partnering and Taxation and Investments.
In other words, with us you'll become a fully qualified accountant, a leader in the making and you'll hold the qualification and hands-on experience to launch your career.

Where will you be based?
During your training, your office base will be in either Norwich or York.
They are beautiful, buzzing towns in which to embark your career and once you've qualified, you will have the chance to broaden your horizons in any of our offices around the UK ormaybe even further afield.
At Aviva, we ask our teams to think about when they work in the office and when they choose to work at home.
This will vary depending on your role and yourpersonal circumstances but 3 days in the office, and 2 days from home is a very typical example.
When you move to each new assignment, take time to discuss this with your Leader and agree what works for you, the business and the organisation.
As we do thisoffice/home blend you will need to live in commutable distance to one of the locations listed above.
