  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK market

  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group's duty free, air travel and cruises business.
  • The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.


We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, 'conviviality' and collaboration in mind.

Your unique contribution


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Compensation and Benefits to join our UK HR team of c.

50 people and to work across our 4 UK businesses above.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive and innovative compensation and benefits programs that align with the organisation's objectives and which ensure competitiveness in the market.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Reviewing and designing the UK organisation's reward strategy. You will be responsible for leveraging external trends and best practice to design a compelling reward strategy that supports our organisation's values, engagement and retention objectives, and employee needs. You will develop strong internal communication plans to help employees understand and take advantage of what we offer and to help line managers communicate benefits clearly to their teams.
  • Leading Compensation and Benefits operations, including driving harmonisation of practices across our 4 UK businesses, ensuring the UK remains a key test market for Groupwide initiatives and conducting regular market research to ensure our compensation and benefits packages remain competitive and compliant with industry standards. You will also be responsible for setting the framework for key compensationrelated stages in the annual people cycle (annual salary review, bonus, etc)
  • Overseeing Global Mobility, job grading, HR controlling (headcount cost management) and our LTI programme, both directly and through your team.
Who you'll be working with- Internally, you'll lead a team of 5.

You'll work with 2 of HR CoEs (Talent Attraction and Talent & Learning) as well as the HR Directors, HR teams and executive teams of our 4 UK businesses- Externally, your contacts will be with various providers in the fields of Global Mobility, Rewards and Compensation benchmarking.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Can show proven experience leading compensation and benefits at a similar level in a medium or large organisation.
  • Have strong technical and legislative knowledge of understanding of compensation structures, incentive programs, and benefits, including Private Medical Insurance.
  • Are able to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels within a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment.
