Do you have experience of receiving/recording information accurately, understanding the concept of threat and risk?


Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit a full-time permanent Triage Officer to work within the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) Force Headquarters, Leicester.


The role covers a 24-hour, 7 day a week shift pattern which includes evenings, nights and weekend shifts (Typical shifts are 2 x 06:30-15:30 / 2 x 13:00-23:00 / 2 x 22:00-07:00 / 4 x rest days and repeat).

The nature of the shifts allows for a good work-life balance yet the shift enhancements on top of the salary also equate to a great remuneration package.


Key Responsibilities

  • You will provide 24/7 FIB reception cover for assessment and prioritising of intelligence against threat, risk, harm and vulnerability.
  • You will support intelligence evaluation, development and sharing and provide enhanced intelligence support to real time incidents.
  • You will maintain and update all relevant and appropriate Force recording systems.

The must haves

  • Educated to GCSE Grade C/4 minimum level standard in Mathematics and English Language OR to have work experience requiring a similar level of skills.
  • Experience receiving information, recording it accurately with the ability to take proactive action through a quick time risk assessment.
  • Experience of working in a role requiring accurate data inputting, searching and retrieving information from computerised databases.
  • Good working knowledge of IT software including Microsoft word, Excel and have excellent keyboard skills.
