Description

Co-production and engagement for children, young people, parents and carers is at the heart of the Cambridge Children's Hospital project.

When the hospital opens, we want it to be right for those who will use it. You will help us realise this ambition.

Cambridge Children's Hospital will be the first dedicated children's hospital for the East of England. It will be unique in fully integrating mental and physical healthcare, plus research, under one roof. It has planning permission for a site on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Children, young people, parents and carers influenced every stage of the early designs.

Since Cambridge Children's Network was launched, over 500 people have signed up to get involved. This resource allows us to harness the power of lived experience. Over the last 18 months, we have run numerous engagement opportunities for all aspects of the project. There are currently twelve parent Co-production Champions embedded into our workstreams. The next stage is to develop true co-production for young people, based on national best practice.

Working with the communications team, and advised by young people, you will develop and implement a strategy to embed youth co-production into the project.

You will understand the importance of representing the region's diversity.

In addition, you will work with our parent Coproduction Champions to ensure they remain as valued and vital members of our project team.
