Early Years and Childcare Team Leader - Maternity Cover

1 x Grade 8 part time 18.5 hours, fixed term until March 2024 covering maternity.

A relevant qualification in Early Years / Childcare as identified within the Qualification and Credit Framework such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development.
Level 5 in a recognised Early Years Qualification (QCF).

We are seeking to appoint 1 part time Early Years and Childcare Team Leader; an enthusiastic and reliable individual who has a particular interest in the Early Years agenda, creating and maintaining strong partnerships with both internal and external services, raising the profile of the Welsh language across the city.

You will be part of a team who will effectively plan, deliver, and manage Early Years and Childcare services maintaining high quality provision meeting Care Inspectorate Wales and other statutory guidelines contributing to improved outcomes for Flying Start and the Early Years 0 - 7 pathway.

To manage a team of staff across Early Years and Childcare services taking day to day responsibility of Flying Start and expansion, premises and outdoor areas ensuring compliance with NCC policies and procedures working with the Team Manager - Early Years and wider Prevention and Inclusion Service Area.

The appointment process will involve an interview with the Deputy Team Managers - Early Years and Quality and Performance Manager.
