A Wetherby primary school, rated "Good with outstanding features" by Ofsted, are seeking 2 new teaching assistants to start as soon as possible.


The positions are:

  • 1:1 SEMH teaching assistant to support a pupil in lessons. This will including taking him out for brain breaks and giving him some emotional support. There are no behavioural needs for this role.
  • General teaching assistant role for their Year 6 class, supporting the class in their lessons.
  • Have previous experience supporting teaching and learning or supporting pupils
  • Have good knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially KS
  • Be confident to deliver activities 1:1 and in small groups
  • Have a DBS on the update service

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Classroom and individual pupil support
  • Organisation of resources and classroom aids
  • Engaging pupils in learning
  • Supporting behaviour and emotional support through activities and creating a close relationship with pupils
  • Some break/lunch time supervision
