NHS PFI interim specialist - full or reduced hours

Temporary on a daily or hourly rate basis
Mostly remote, with some office based working in West Yorkshire

You are someone who is an experienced finance professional with a previous knowledge of working with PFI contracts and looking for a flexible interim role.

Maybe you are a senior finance professional with a wealth of NHS Finance experience looking to re-draw the work life balance line more clearly after the past few years of covid chaos?

You don't want to jump back into a substantive post, but you'd like to do something where you can look forward to a break after the satisfaction of a successfully completed interim project role?

What you'll be doing:

Working for a Trust you'll be supporting them as one of their PFI arrangements comes to an end in the next few years and you'll be helping them to navigate through what that means and what the implications are for the Trust working through the complications of a PFI contract and life cycle and history.

There isn't a structured job description, more a request for expert help within PFI so you'll help them scope out exactly what needs to be done and what you can do for them.

What you'll need to offer:

You'll have PFI experience from an accountancy angle and most likely will be a qualified accountant with experience of PFI contracts and the ins and outs of them and how it impacts NHS organisations.

You'll appreciate the full life cycle of a PFI contract and understand financial management core and project core to it all.

You'll have an analytical approach and be used to unpicking contracts and contract variations.

Ideally you'll have gained this experience from within an NHS environment, but if you have worked on PFIs in other areas such as local government or education, it's still worth us speaking.
