I am thrilled to be working with an historic charity and a significant historic site, which has been an important landmark for many years and has a rich historical background.

The institution aims to support and provide comradeship for Army veterans in recognitionof their service to the Nation, while also safeguarding their historic home for future veterans.


They are seeking an Event Manager who will be responsible for organizing and managing all internal and external events on site, developing efficient policies and procedures for the events department, maintaining good communication with suppliers, and strivingto improve the event planning and delivery process.

Other duties include answering event inquiries, conducting site visits, conducting market research, seeking new business relationships, supporting the Head of Events with targets and strategies, supportingthe third-party catering operations, and assisting with the strategic development of one of the new event spaces within the historic site.


Essential Skills

  • A proven ability to effectively interact with clients
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Effective in providing exceptional customer service
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in meeting income targets and generating new income
  • Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience of Event Management within a heritage venue (essential)
  • Knowledge of event software (desirable)

Competences

  • An ability to lead and communicate on all aspects of event management.
  • The role holder must be a team player with leadership skills.
  • The role holder must be able to respond quickly and work flexibly to meet the requirements of the client.

Qualifications

  • First Aid qualification
  • Event or hospitality qualification (desirable)
