My client a leading Financial Services Organisation require an experienced Senior Internal Audit Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day delivery of audits in the 'strategy, transformation and change' portfolio within the overall audit plan.
- Perform change assurance activity over the Group's transformation, portfolio management and key programmes, attending key governance committees and steering committees.
- Oversee Internal Audit Managers in their determination of detailed audit scopes and their approach, culminating in the production of scope memos for each audit.
- Review audit work and ensure it is performed to a suitable standard, in line with GIA methodologies and that audit conclusions and assessments are accurate and robust.
- Oversee the audit action closure process, ensuring that actions are only closed when the associated risk is sufficiently mitigated.
- Liaise with key stakeholders across the business, both throughout and outside of the audit process.
- Manage the daytoday timely delivery of the strategy, transformation and change risk elements of the audit plan.
- Act as a conduit between IAMs and the Head of Internal Audit (HIA) and deputise for the HIA where appropriate.
- Support and develop the implementation of data analytics within GIA. With a relevant qualification you will possess the following skills and experience
- Strong understanding of strategy definition and management, enterprise architecture, and portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of project and programme management, and BAU change management practices.
- Strong understanding of agile, small change processes, scrum, engineering and the software development lifecycle.
- Extensive experience of directing and conducting change assurance which adds value and focuses on achieving strategic objectives.
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to balance assertiveness with need to build and maintain internal relationships.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly analytical, able to work with both low levels of detail and a 'big picture' organisationwide perspective and think critically.
