Key Objectives and Responsibilities:


Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing the running of the event space, supporting with staffing requirements, training and any other operational requirements.


Help to create new, seasonal and creative drinks in line with Market Halls branding when required or asked by the Bars Manager.


Work alongside the Bar Manager on product development and ensuring that the offering is suitable to the customer base, ensuring that bar and equipment maintenance is reported and dealt with in a timely and orderly fashion.

Work with all Bar team members to ensure they comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Participate in weekly fire alarm tests and support with implementing fire evacuation plans and training for the Bar team.


Liaising with KP and night porter teams to implement cleaning schedules and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene through the venue.

Liaise with Bar Manager to ensure all bar areas are pest free.

Ensure that all customers leave having had the best experience possible.


Ensure that the venue is kept clean, tidy and in state that is befitting the company image and brand requirements.

Being a point of call for customer complaints or enquiries regarding the bar, all traders and operational issues.


Assist the Bar Manager in the financial reporting of the venue by conducting Safe Counts, cashing up and completing banking sheet at the end of the day as well as completing EOD reporting.

Ensuring that all invoices are signed off before passing them onto the accounts team for payment.


Ensure that stock levels are always adequate by conducting through stock counts on a weekly basis in the absence of the Bar Manager.


Manage all orders for the bar by liaising with suppliers on a weekly basis, checking off deliveries and reporting any discrepancies.

Assisting in ensuring staff have had appropriate training regarding Health and Safety, Fire Regulations, Food Safety and Hygiene and Allergen Awareness

Ensure staff are appropriately trained on products available to guests, covering food and drinks offerings, service times, special events


Work alongside the Bar Manager to ensure that staff are appropriately trained in their role, that training material is up to date and relevant and that all staff files are up to date and accurate.


General:


Work closely with Market Hall's Floor team to ensure customers/guests are well looked after and have the best possible experience during their visit.

Work closely with the Bar Manager on initiatives and promotions.

Comply with all policies set out by Market Halls to include:
a. H&S

b. Food Hygiene

c. Fire regulations

d. Licensing Law

e. Sales of Goods/Trading Standards

Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Operations or any member of the Senior Leadership Team.


Person Specification

_Experience and qualifications_

_Essential _

Experience of:
Working in a Supervisory or Senior Bartender role within a busy bar.

Knowledge of popular cocktails and alcoholic drinks.

Cash handling


_Desirable _
Experience of working as a Bar Supervisor/Bar Manager in a busy city/town bar and events space.

Extensive knowledge of all beverages with the ability to make recommendations

Stock control, cleaning and hygiene standards.
