We are looking for world class researchers with a passion for transport safety to join our team.


The Transport Safety and Simulation (TSS) research group, part of the Institute of Clean Growth & Future Mobility (CGFM) at Coventry University, aims to create better futures by changing the way the world moves.

We employ state-of-the-art simulation techniques and design tools to address future mobility safety challenges, from e-scooters, through autonomous vehicles to eVTOL aircraft, considering vulnerable road users (VRU), occupants, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and vehicle.


The team is complemented with medical experts from the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) in the field of orthopedics and traumatology, as well as strong synergies with the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL), HORIBA MIRA (UK), as well as international universities experts in transport safety, namely University Gustave Eiffel in Marseilles (FR) and politecnico di torino (IT).


The research group is using explicit finite element and multi-body techniques, human body models as well as machine learning techniques to provide on-board an real-time safety solutions.

You will also disseminate research outputs and develop external networks nationally and internationally.
