The Role


Working within the School of Business, Professional and Engineering, this post will focus on teaching and supporting undergraduate business degree students and professional students on specialist Human Resource programmes and modules across the department.

The role will involve leading on the College's Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) commercial and apprenticeship provision.


What are we looking for?


We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possesses a degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline.


We are looking for applicants who have a postgraduate qualification at Level 7 in Human Resource Management with practical experience in HR.

Ideally, you'll hold a PGCE or another recognized teaching qualification.

However, we welcome applicants without prior experience in the education sector who possess relevant and transferable skills with a willingness to achieve a PGCE within two years of appointment.

The successful applicant will be accredited with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Equally, it is preferable if you can demonstrate a Fellowship of Higher Education Academy or commitment of achieving such Fellowship within two years of appointment.


With excellent interpersonal skills you will have the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population with requirements to teach at Levels - 7.

As you will be required to teach on our part time evening courses (up to 3 per week), your working pattern will be amended accordingly.
