Early years educator apprenticeship - TicTots Day Nursery
The applicant will be working as part of a dynamic team providing childcare and education in line with
TicTots curriculum and learning our ways of working to carry out childcare for children under age five
years old. TicTots is a quality Children's Day Nursery and we value our staff and provide support to gain a
qualification in childcare and progress all the way through from Level Two, Level Three to Level Five. We
have a monthly reward and recognition program for staff who go over and above. Staff well-being is
important to us.


Apprenticeship Summary
30 hours per week

19 months to complete the qualification

Monday - Friday

7:30am - 3:30pm


Training provider:
LMP Group (Rated 3rd best apprenticeship training provider across the UK)
All online/ remote learning, no class room or college day release. An allocated tutor will support you throughout the apprenticeship

Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent required


Main Duties

  • Support the Nursery teacher and the Nursery staff in the day to day running of the Nursery.
  • Provide compassionate care and exciting learning opportunities for all children in your care
  • Assess, plan for and review the learning and development of the children to help them achieve the best outcomes in their Early Years education
  • Be a driving force for children's achievement and wellbeing
  • Assist the class teacher in differentiating the delivery of the curriculum in line with each child's individual needs, including small group work, creative activities and play opportunities
  • Have a full understanding of the Nursery systems of record keeping and keep records of the children's development
  • Prepare activities which enable children with any additional needs to fully access the curriculum
  • Confer with other Nursery staff to compare observations, discuss future planning and any other relevant matters.
  • Follow all School wide and Nursery specific policies and procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of our provision for children.
  • Assist with the domestic management of the Nursery including ensuring that the Nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times.
  • Be aware of the high profile of the Nursery and the School and to uphold its standards at all times.
  • Adhere to the safeguarding policies and procedures and to safeguard the children at all times.
Knowledge and Understanding

  • Keep knowledge up to date and reflect on own practice, identifying relevant professional development to improve personal effectiveness
  • Demonstrate expertise and skills in understanding the needs of all pupils and know how to contribute effectively to the adaptation and delivery of support to meet individual needs.
  • Have appropriate phonological knowledge in order to lead groups effectively
  • Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety in your daily practice ensuring that all policy and advice is followed. Take responsibility for your own health and safety.
  • Have high standards and knowledge of English, Maths and phonics.
