The Company
My client is a leading provider within the UK support services in their sector.
The Role
The individual will collaborate with the Management and HR team to shape how learning and development is delivered.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a learning and development strategy to support the growth of our client services capability,as well as design and deliver the relevant learning and development activities.
Key Responsibilities
This role needs the capability to both act as a consultant on Learning and Development, and a deliverer to make things happen on the ground.
- Undertake training needs analysis in conjunction with business stakeholders to identify learning and development needs across the business.
- Design and deliver learning and development programmes at all levels, aligned with business needs, to include induction programmes, cross training, technical training and management development.
- Ongoing evaluation and development of learning and development programmes to ensure continued ROI.
- Work with managers to create and maintain capability frameworks, address talent and capability gaps, and deliver performance improvements across operational functions.
- Ensure new employees are fully trained to undertake their roles and deliver the required service standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, and collaboratively create new approaches which meet business and client needs.
- Work with the compliance team to ensure the business meets its Statutory and Mandatory training and CPD obligations in line with current legislation and best practice and to ensure that the compliance agenda is mainstreamed into all areas of activity.
- Support key projects in a Learning and Development capacity.
- Be an ambassador for purpose, values and behaviours.
- Ensure compliance with agreed company and group standards.
- Remain abreast of market trends and functional best practices, to ensure consistent delivery and deployment of best practice outcomes.
Person Specification
- Significant experience working in the insurance industry (London Markets preferred) and the ability to design and deliver bespoke/tailored learning and development programmes.
- Experience working within a learning and development delivery role,
- Relevant training qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of learning styles and delivery techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders to support and enable strategic business goals.
- Enjoys working within a commercial, fast paced environment.
- A good influencer with proven ability to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions.
- A selfstarter with lots of initiative able, to work independently and as part of a team.
