About the Business Operations Department


Business operations play a crucial role in supporting the wider business as a whole to ensure the continued success of our billion-pound company.


Business Operations areas include:
HR, Finance, Operations, Legal, Facilities.


Key Information
Start date: 1st July 2024

Length: 13-month FTC


Salary:
£20,000

Hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days from home)

As a Business Operations Intern, you'll be:

  • Joining a specific team within the Business Operations (i.e. HR, Finance, Operations, Legal or Facilities)
  • Taking on a role within the team, assigned to specific responsibilities and duties
  • Learning about your team and department and how they contribute to Softcat's success
  • Engaging and collaborating with other teams and departments to help maintain high levels of service to our customers
  • Building key skills such as organisation, time management and communication.
  • Collaborating with other interns on group projects

We'd love you to have or be

  • A current undergraduate University student studying in the UK/Ireland in your penultimate year, from any degree discipline
  • A passion for technology and/or entering the technology industry
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships externally and internally
  • The ability to use your own initiative and work independently or as part of a team
  • A dedication to learning
  • Demonstrate an alignment to our Softcat values & culture
