Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A PhD or equivalent qualification awarded in the history of the Indian Ocean world before 1750.
  • Portfolio of internationally excellent research in an aspect of the history of the Indian Ocean world before 1750
  • Experience of conducting research in at least one nonEuropean language of the Indian Ocean region
  • Demonstrable commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education
  • Evidence of expertise in teaching at university level
