Description

Academic Appointments, in partnership with a Wakefield alternative provision unit, are looking for talented, creative, and experienced Behaviour Support Worker for students who have been excluded from Mainstream school settings.


The Alternative Provision provides:

- full and part-time education and support for children and young people in KS3-KS4 who for a variety of reasons are unable to access mainstream education.

  • The most prevalent category of need identified is Social emotional and mental health (SEMH).

Main duties include:


  • Supporting teacher led learning
  • 1:1 pupil support and group work

Requirements:


  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant/BSW
  • Cache level Teaching assistant
  • Evidence of excellent behaviour management skills
  • Team Teach positive behaviour management Level 2 preferred

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method
