Job description
Full Time /37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 18 Months
Join our small team to help support city centre management engagement with key stakeholders and support and contribute to the growth of the city's tourism and visitor economy using your administration and project delivery and analysis skills.
The City Centre Management team works with a range of partners, businesses and public services to enhance the management and performance of Leicester City Centre to the benefit of residents, visitors and businesses.
This is a full time, fixed term post for 18 months working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
There will be a few occasions when you will be required to work in the evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Predominantly working from our council offices, we promote hybrid working, where you have the flexibility to work from home. You will be required to travel to various locations/venues when required.What you'll be doing
You will assist with administration duties including diary keeping, booking meetings, minute taking, filing, answering and making phone calls and maintaining records to support the delivery of city centre management projects.
You will be responsible for the city centre management database and for the preparation of formal reports, presentations, briefings and updates.
The role involves daily communication with external stakeholders and council officers across different services. You will support the tourism activities and collate and analyse data for project purposes.What you'll need
You will need to be studying for or be a recent graduate with a 2.2 degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing or Journalism and have previous work experience within a customer focused business.
Good communication skills, a professional attitude and interpersonal skills sufficient to deal effectively with stakeholders /work colleagues and senior management are required.
You will need computer skills sufficient to carry out the role including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, self-motivation and an analytical approach together with accuracy, an eye for detail in the work you produce, good time management and ability to meet deadlines will be required for this busy, exciting role.
