Description

Venatu recruitment are looking for trainee press setters (machine operators) to join a leading manufacturing company in LS10 on a temporary to permenant basis.

Hours of work:
Rotating shift pattern (6am - 2.30pm/1.30pm - 10pm).

Rate of pay:
starting at £10.92ph when training is complete moving up to £11.50ph

Duties to include:

Setting of power presses to ensure running at optimum speeds to maintain required output levels and work to the companies policies and procedures.
Running of presses to ensure running at optimum speeds to maintain required output levels and work to the companies policies and procedures.
Allocation of jobs and ability to instruct the operator.
Ensure PPE and Health and Safety regulations are adhered at all times.
Perform basic quality checks to ensure all components are within the required product specifications.
Loading and unloading of materials.
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
Good communication skills.
Experience working in an industrial environment.
Experience operating machinery.
Possess good problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Capable of following verbal and written instruction.
Ability to work individually and part of a team.
A quick learner with the ability to work independently.
Takes pride in their work with a good eye for detail.
Previous experience working on presses or within a manufacturing environment
