- Main Duties:
- To provide an effective administrative service for the Pastoral Team and the Designated Safeguarding Lead
- To record and report on pupil attendance and punctuality
- To ensure all pupil information regarding behaviour, emotional wellbeing and pastoral care is recoded and shared as appropriate
- Support effective communication between school and families in relation to attendance issues
- Make calls to parents/carers of pupils not known to be present from morning register
- Monitor and maintain full records of communication with families regarding poor attendance and persistent absence and lateness
- Produce attendance reports for the Assistant Headteacher (Behaviour and Safeguarding) and Heads of Year including the tracking of concerns
- Complete relevant paperwork for warnings /fixed penalty notices
- Ensure the Children Missing Education procedure is followed
- With the Behaviour and Attendance Mentor or other relevant member of staff carry out home visits to identified pupils of concern if required
- Attend meetings with parents whose children have attendance issues to minute the meeting
- Complete attendance data returns for the Local Education Attendance Team
- Monitor CPOMS and meet with the AHT to flag up concerns
- Populate and submit referrals to the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub
- Produce reports and statistical information as required by the DLS/DDSL
- Maintain pupil behaviour records on SIMS
- Record SLT after school detentions ensuring parents are informed
- To facilitate and arrange pastoral events e.g., school photographer, Year 11 Prom and reward events.
- Monitor pupil attendance by reviewing registers and other data
- Monitor school transfers to ensure they have taken place
- Organise school attendance panels
- Review and monitor the effectiveness of systems /paperwork in place with regards to school attendance procedures in conjunction with the AHT
The working hours will be:
- 7.4 hours per day excluding 30 mins for unpaid lunch
