Head of Finance (Regional FD Designate)

Up to £95,000 + Bonus + LTIP

Background


Due to recent success and external investment, this well-known property Group is experiencing rapid growth and has substantial resources to achieve its ambitious growth plans.

The Group is led by a Main Board of Directors, all of whom have a proven trackrecord in delivering success and have a significant number of years' experience in the industry.


Main responsibilities:


  • No. 1 Finance role progressing to Divisional Finance Director within c. 1 year
  • Working alongside the MD and Group FC, contributing to the development of the region's 5year business plan
  • Developing financial business plans, budgets and forecasts and being fully accountable for their implementation and delivery
  • Highlighting opportunities to increase profitability and ROCE
  • Implementing a first class, high performing finance team to service the needs of the region leading to the eventual daytoday management of the team with responsibility for their training, coaching & development
  • Supporting on due diligence exercises of new business/ land deals
  • Ownership of all aspects of financial reporting including delivering month end, review of journals, reconciliations and monthly management accounts with variance analysis
  • Working alongside the Land, Technical, Commercial and Sales teams to update the appraisals on a monthly basis, providing sufficient challenge
  • Ownership of the weekly/ monthly cashflow forecast, ensuring the Group has sufficient funding to deliver its growth plans
  • Ownership of the monthly board pack
  • Ownership of the annual budget pack

Key Requirements:


  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years' PQE
  • Strong budget and forecasting skills
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Driven, hardworking and ambitious
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
