An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Public Health Wales team of Biomedical Scientists.
Public Health Wales Microbiology laboratories, in the North Wales region are situated within the Gwynedd, Glan Clwyd and Wrexham Maelor Hospitals with the Glan Clwyd site being one of the largest Microbiology Laboratories in Wales.
Together they provide a wide range of diagnostic services to hospitals, clinics and general practitioners in North Wales and North Powys.
North Wales Microbiology offers a comprehensive routine diagnostic bacteriology service. The laboratory benefits from Kiestra automation, automated urinalysis and a wide range of molecular testing platforms. All of the Clinical Laboratories are ISO 15189 UKAS accredited and we are also an IBMS approved training site.The North Wales Microbiology Service is seeking enthusiastic Biomedical Scientists to join our team.
The laboratory operates a 7 day, 24 hr service and working patterns will include shifts covering core days, evenings, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.
To demonstrate our commitment and dedication of our staff we offer automatic progression to Band 6 on the successful completion of their IBMS Specialist Diploma (Medical Microbiology /Virology) with 100% compliance of statutory and mandatory training and relevant competency documents.
