The Requirements of the Commercial Assistant:

  • Minimum of 2 + years working with/completing documentation for the NHS (PQQs and tender
  • Minimum of 2 + years working with & preparing Healthcare tenders
  • Ideally have medical device Industry knowledge
  • Educated to at least A level standard or equivalent
  • Will preferably be a PQ member of a relevant professional body e.g., CIPS but not essential
  • A selfstarter and have a good team working ethic with an excellent eye for detail
  • Possess excellent time, project management and organisational skills

The Role of the Commercial Assistant:

  • Work closely with the Commercial manager and other stake holders involved in tender preparation and contract management
  • Read tender documents and access the requirements in preparation to create a suitable offer in collaboration with other stake holders
  • Completion of the tender prequalification questionnaires, tenderdocuments, and submission within strict time scales
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to collate necessary requirements to deliver a successful bid
  • Coordinating, disseminating information and delegating tasks both internally and externally to achieve desired results and to produce high quality offers
  • Tracking tender clarifications from internal and external customers
  • Keeping management/sales teams up to date with tender developments and queries
  • Issue periodical tender tracking reports to sales/management teams (incl.
Mid West)

  • Maintain Tenders & Contracts database
  • Maintain Tender data repository/tender tools with the company's/processes/product information to use in offers/SOPs
  • Regular Customer contract product catalogue updates
  • Attend tender/contract related meetings with customers if required
  • Update customer SAP price upload files for Customer Services
  • Update and distribute Dailysales, Outstanding PO reports to Mid-West and Sales Reports to Sales team
  • Customer Service price queries and anyother adhoccontract related queries
