Are you an Assistant Practitioner or an existing senior support worker looking for a new challenge to work within an in-patient stroke rehabilitation setting?

Would you like to work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at our Sub-Acute Stroke Rehab Unit (SSARU).

Our Sub-Acute Stroke Rehab Units (SSARU) meet the needs of people who are unable to return home immediately after a hospital stay, as they need specialist rehabilitation following their stroke.

The unit consists of 30 beds at South Bristol Community Hospital, which provides a safe environment where individuals who are medically stable can receive rehabilitation assessment, along with focused therapy and support from our multidisciplinary team, to develop independence before they return home.

We are looking for Assistant Practitioners to work within our friendly therapy team to work alongside registered colleagues delivering stroke therapy.

You will be supported by a team of therapists and be given appropriate training and regular supervision.

You will be part of a team supporting the transition of our current inpatient rehabilitation unit into a centre of excellence for Specialist stroke rehabilitation with a multidisciplinary workforce and a 24 hour rehabilitation ethos.
