The Team Leader will support and deputise for the Head of Service in the operational management and service development within the Cardiorespiratory service providing strong leadership and ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care to patients within the community.


The Team Leader will support with the continuous professional development of the respective workforce, supporting the Head of Service with the development of the services, performance capability, undertake or co-ordinate service improvement and governance initiatives, supporting the development of policy and practice and deputise for the Head of Service.

As the Team leader you will;
To develop and sustain a positive staff culture and way of working in a more multidisciplinary way

To be lead contact for clinicians and managers on professional issues relating to the respective service on a daily basisTo promote best practice to enable equitable levels of service provision across

To support and guide senior clinicians in the development of their skills and knowledge base

To promote corporacy through timely, sensitive interaction with the Head of Service and team members

To undertake or delegate audit and research activities in relation to service development within integrated teams and delivery within the localities and to make recommendations to Heads of Service

To ensure the delivery of the highest quality care by leading on the implementation of coordinated clinical audit and the adoption of evidence-based practice for all relevant

Accountable for the performance management and the essential training requirements of staff

The post requires a 80/20 split between managerial and clinical work

The search has begun for a Fixed term Team leader to cover maternity leave within the Planned and Proactive Care Directorate; Community Cardiorespiratory, Mid Nottinghamshire & Bassetlaw.


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, creative and driven Team Leader to support and guide community nursing/AHP teams for a period of 6 months.

You will need to possess community nursing/AHP knowledge, current and expert knowledge on the service, be aware of national drivers in community cardiorespiratory services and demonstrate compassionate leadership that meets the NHS Model of Leadership.


This is an exciting opportunity to join existing teams and help shape services as we move forwards in our planned and proactive care directorate.

As the Team Leader you will:

Oversee care approaches and systems of delivery and have clinical oversight and day to day operational management of the clinical teams, leading on CQC compliance, governance, assurance, recruitment and retention, roster oversight, management of staff issues, leading training and development and ensuring that our care delivery is exemplary.


Lead and co-ordinate a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to meet the needs of the defined patient group through support, kindness and respect.


Be a central figure of providing strong leadership throughout the wider multidisciplinary team ensuring that high standards are maintained and improved upon with the support of the Head of Service and General Manager.
