Therapeutic Learning Mentor - Temp to perm contract - £110-£120 per day - £ £24000 (Actual salary term time only) - North London
Are you a holistic child centred practitioner who is interested in working with complex needs and trauma?

Are you able to draw on a wide range of social care and teaching strategies to implement plans to support a young person in need?

Parker Smith Inclusion are working with a specialist service in North London who educate some of the most vulnerable young people in society


About the service


The service caters to young people who have severe and complex social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and some with a dual diagnosis of autism (ASC) The young people may have also suffered severe trauma and adverse childhood experiences.

The service is made up of social workers, teachers, therapists and therapeutic learning mentors.

Young people educated by the service are educated in the hub based in East London or on outreach near their home in community settings.

Each student will have an education plan tailored to their specific needs.


About the Therapeutic Learning Mentor role


As a Therapeutic Learning Mentor, you will be matched with a specific student and be responsible for their best possible outcomes.

You will help to deliver classroom lesson, and related activities.

You will act as a learning mentor and appropriate adult for the young person offering them emotional support and educational guidance.

You will help plan and prepare for your young person to do project work and assist them to successfully complete their chosen projects
