Therapeutic Learning Mentor - Temp to perm contract - £110-£120 per day - £ £24000 (Actual salary term time only) - North London

Are you able to draw on a wide range of social care and teaching strategies to implement plans to support a young person in need?
Parker Smith Inclusion are working with a specialist service in North London who educate some of the most vulnerable young people in society
About the service
The service caters to young people who have severe and complex social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and some with a dual diagnosis of autism (ASC) The young people may have also suffered severe trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
Young people educated by the service are educated in the hub based in East London or on outreach near their home in community settings.
Each student will have an education plan tailored to their specific needs.About the Therapeutic Learning Mentor role
As a Therapeutic Learning Mentor, you will be matched with a specific student and be responsible for their best possible outcomes.
You will act as a learning mentor and appropriate adult for the young person offering them emotional support and educational guidance.
You will help plan and prepare for your young person to do project work and assist them to successfully complete their chosen projectsWhy be a Therapeutic Learning Mentor?

This service has an inspirational ethos about never giving up on any student so you will be part of a team who do their absolute best to ensure every child gets the support they require, some of their students may have been out of education for some time so you will be a part of their journey back into education.
